Let’s get this party started!
I am happy to announce that next Thursday, March 14th, 2013, a.k.a. Pi Day, will be the official launch of the Infinite Tangents Podcast!
In preparation for the launch, I’ve created a short introduction to the podcast covering its host, its goals, and how you can help. You listen to the intro here.
As mentioned in the podcast, there are a few ways you can help out to make Infinite Tangents worth listening to.
1. Drop me a line in the comments or DM me on twitter (@mythagon) to let me know who you’d like to hear and why.
2. Get your voice out there by answering one/some/all of the prompts below! Just record yourself in a quiet place saying the question and your response. These are meant to be quick, so responses under 30 seconds are appreciated, though I’m not going to music you off the stage if you’re making a great point. Once you’ve recorded, drop me a line at ashli (dot) black (at) gmail (dot) com. (You’ll need to clean that up–trying to avoid the spiders on the internet that send spam.) If the file seems too large to email we can figure out a way to transfer it via dropbox or google drive.
-How do you start your teaching day?
-What do you do during lunch?
-What’s your favorite snack?
-What would you like to get done in the times between classes?
-Do you find yourself only talking about teaching? How do you stop?
-When do you grade?
-What do you do during your planning time?
-Do you do peer observation or review?
-What are the attributes of an effective teacher you work with?
-How do you reflect on your teaching & what do you see as the benefit of doing so?
-If you could have time with anyone out there in the edu-sphere, who would you choose and why?
Thanks to everyone who has offered their support and suggestions so far, I look forward to hearing your stories.
Cheers!
Ashli
p.s. The podcast will be available on iTunes, but it takes a while to work through the system. I’ll let you all know when you can subscribe to it there :]

This is such a great idea, Ashli. I’m looking forward to Episode 1 and hearing from Daniel. I’ll try to answer the prompts above. Unlike your lovely voice though, I think I sound like a cow.
